We started this line because we know there are plenty of you out there just like us...busy going in several directions at once! Whether it be a round at the golf course, a special outdoor event, or looking stylish with an everyday accessory, we feel headwear that's designed specifically for women is difficult to find. In our opinion, it's one department where most companies have "dropped the ball". The Gogie Girl idea arose from our search for headwear that was feminine yet sporty, designed to fit comfortably and stylish. So jump in with us and be inspired by the line created with you in mind!
How Did Gogie ('Go-ghee') Girl Get Her Name?
Vicky and Duffy's daughter earned her nickname "Gogie Girl" as a baby. When their four children were younger, they followed their dad across America and abroad while he chased the little multi-colored golf ball from tour stop to tour stop. Meanwhile, baby Kelli was always chasing after her two older brothers saying "Gogie, Gogie, Gogie". That became her nickname as it was evident she wanted "to go" and keep up with the boys. We think Gogie Girl is a perfect name for a headwear company for women and girls "on the go!"
